The Tallinn City Museum, founded in 1937, researches, collects, preserves and presents Tallinn’s history. It highlights the stories of people who have lived here over time, as well as the development of urban culture, offering a place to reflect on the city and its future. The museum consists of seven branches, each with its own focus: the Tallinn City Museum, the Museum of Photography, the Kiek in de Kök Fortifications Museum, the Children’s Museum Miiamilla, the Tallinn Russian Museum, the House of Peter the Great and the Kalamaja Museum. A new brand launched in early 2022 unites them into one cohesive whole.
